Originally from Fremont, California, El-Joshua Allen began his college career at Laney College in Oakland, where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Social Sciences and graduated cum laude. He then came to North Carolina to play college football at Winston-Salem State University, starting at tight end while earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law. After graduating cum laude from Winston-Salem State, he earned his law degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law. His experiences throughout law school and in public defense ultimately shaped his interest in criminal defense and his commitment to advocating for those facing the criminal justice system.

El-Joshua’s experience prior to joining Hiltzheimer Law Office includes working with the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office, participating in NCCU’s Criminal Defense Clinic, and serving in the Justice is Blind Clerkship, where he gained significant exposure to courtroom proceedings. Through these experiences, he saw firsthand the impact that effective representation can have and developed a strong belief that every client deserves an advocate who will take their case seriously, protect their rights, and stand beside them when the stakes are highest.

Outside the courtroom, El-Joshua is a first-degree black belt in Kajukenbo. Between his years as a college athlete and his martial arts training, he brings discipline, resilience, and a competitive drive to every case.

El-Joshua’s practice is focused exclusively on traffic and criminal defense matters for the firm’s clients.
